Praktiline koolitus "Kuidas olla toeks, kui teisel on raske?"
Akadeemia tn 3, Pärnu, 80011 Pärnu maakond, Eesti
On 6 October from 13:00 to 15:00, a practical training session, “How to be there for someone who is struggling,” will take place in the great hall of Pärnu Central Library. Have you ever thought: “I can see they’re having a hard time, but I don’t know what I should do or say”? This training is for just such moments. The training is open to anyone who wants to get better at noticing and supporting someone who is struggling, in their family, circle of friends, workplace or community. Psychological first aid means knowing how to support someone without having to be a psychologist or knowing how to solve their problem. In the training, we’ll learn to notice when someone may need support, how to make contact and listen so that they feel truly heard. We’ll talk about what to say, what to avoid, and when simply being present is enough. We’ll also learn to recognise situations where supportive listening is no longer enough and the person needs professional or urgent help. An important topic is the supporter’s own boundaries. Being supportive does not mean taking responsibility for another person’s life or solving their problems. Trainer: Karin Luts Please note: Participation is free. Register for the training HERE!
