Pärnu Postimehe dokumentaalfilmi "Ajutine kodu" erilinastus

Lai tn 5, Pärnu, 80011 Pärnu maakond, Eesti

Special screening of Pärnu Postimees documentary film “Temporary Home” Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 18:00 at Apollo Cinema in Pärnu   The Pärnu Postimees video team’s documentary film “Temporary Home” follows the lives of young people who fled Ukraine for Estonia against the backdrop of the fifth year of the war. Their daily lives unfold somewhere between Pärnu County, Tartu, Viljandi, and Hiiumaa, shaped by school, work, and friendships, while they also maintain a constant emotional connection to the homeland they were forced to leave.   “Temporary Home” brings to the big screen footage from both Estonia and Ukraine, showing the young people’s new and former homes. At the heart of the film is the question: is [contact details withheld] still just a temporary stopover for them, or has this become a new home? Producer [contact details withheld] and director Annika Auväärt let the young people themselves answer. The filmmakers will also be present at the group screening, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss. More in-depth material will be released in the second half of October as a three-part series on the Pärnu Postimees website, where viewers will also see footage that will not make it to the big screen. THE SPECIAL SCREENING AND THE LATER WEB SERIES ARE FREE FOR EVERYONE!
