A biodiverse region of meandering meadows and swamps east of Pärnu. Embracing Estonia’s largest area of swamps, meadows and waterside forests, 390-sq-km Soomaa is primarily made up of four bogs – Valgeraba, Öördi, Kikepera and Kuresoo. It is famous for its ancient wetlands, bogs, tributaries of the Pärnu River, and the seasonal 'fifth season' spring floods. A protected area with designated sites for free, basic camping. Known for natural beauty, hiking, and camping options.
